Cakewalk Track View Screenshot
January 31, 2004
As we start our work with Cakewalk, make note of the three columns we
worked with last class: Channel (Chn), Patch and the
R button.
In the Channel column, we set the MIDI channel for the track (remember MIDI has 16 channels) and in the Patch colum, we set the sound for the track. (For now, we'll work with the basic 128 instrument/sounds found in General MIDI.) With the R, we can arm and disarm recording on the track.
As we continue to work with Cakewalk we'll explore the functions of the other columns found in Track View.
