Some points to remember

April 21

As we've discussed several times, more and more the Web will be used in teaching either as a direct teaching medium or as an ancillary to classroom work.

Here's the mixer application we looked at last class. And, here's the Web page where the mixer application was used twice. (Flash required)

As a last example of using the Web in your teaching, look through this course Web site for some ideas. (And, let's not forget our course Web site as an example too.)

One last item... Now that we're almost done with the course, sometime in the near future you should go through the Assignments page again and re-visit (or dare I say, visit for the first time) some of the pages you were asked to read during the semester. Some of the terminology used on these pages will make more sense now that you've had a semester of music techonology experience

April 5

Keep up your reading assignments. It is vital that you learn the material the textbook covers

February 17

You should now be able to access the Department's Listening Library on WebCT. The address is webct.liu.edu.

Your WebCT ID is in this format: firstname.lastname (all lowercase). Unless you've changed your password, it' s your student ID (usually your Social Security number) with no dashes or spaces.

When you get to the myWebCT page, choose the Department of Music Listening Library link to access the library.

You should also see this course listed on your myWebCT page. We'll start using that site soon in this course as another example of using the Web in your teaching.
