• Here's a reminder on how to do two of the observations in the Melody section of the Checklist
Dec. 3, 2005
• Review material for the final is online. The required reading material list is included in a table on that page. E-mail me if you have a question [JM].
• Here is a Music Player with the Eric Clapton song we worked on in class and here's the completed example Checklist for the record.
Note: because we discussed the Clapton record in class, you can not use it for your checklist assignments.
• First Checklist assignment is due December 12. Listen to a record of your choice and complete a Checklist form with your analysis of that record. For this assignment you can skip: 1) the section on Melody; 2) the question on Time Signature in the section on Rhythm; 3) the question on Harmonic Rhythm in the section on Harmony. (In order to answer those questions, you need to have the sheet music.)
