Two quick things to check: 1) Make sure you install Firefox on your computer and always look at your Web pages in multiple browsers. How each handles HTML and CSS can vary, although most browsers today are trying to be as compliant as possible. Once you install Firefox, get the Web Developer Extension. It's an excellent tool for writing Web pages as well as studying Web pages
Set Firefox as a secondary browser in Dreamweaver so you can quickly test your pages there too. Check Dreamweave Help for how to setup a secondary browser

As a follow-up to what we did in last night's class, here's a review of just what we did. (Ah, now that I have a blog, I might as well use it!)

Look for more about classwork in the "Putting It All Together" category as we continue.

As we start to look at writing Web pages and creating Web sites, hopefully these pages will give you some needed information, instruction and reference material. Never hesitate to Skype or e-mail me if you have any questions.

In class today, we'll take a quick look at HTML (PDF file) and CSS and try to give you some background information on each. For more on each topic, visit Step-by-Step HTML/CSS and look at the HTML Beginner and CSS Beginner tutorials.

November 12, 2007 follow-up. Here's a PDF file containing the information I was trying to show you in Marratech. The first page is the rendered Web page, the second the source file. You can also view the page online. You can see the Page Source from the View menu.
