Welcome to Multimedia Design on the Internet. Your instructor is John Meschi.

During this Spring 2005 course we will look at the process of writing Web pages in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) as well as the designing and creating of multimedia that can be included on these pages. These media include:

Page layout and design and site planning, design and management will also be discussed. Software to be used during the course includes:

  1. Dreamweaver (HTML)
  2. Photoshop, ImageReady and Fireworks (graphics)
  3. Flash (animation)
  4. SoundEdit 16 (audio)
  5. Premiere (video, if time permits)

The final project for the course will be to develop a linked multi-page Web site that will be placed on the World Wide Web. This site will consist of HTML pages and multimedia developed during the course. (Multimedia created previous to the course may be used if acceptable.)
