  1. As we continue with Cakewalk in class, let's continue the reading material from the textbook. Read Chapter 3, then e-mail me your answers for question 18 and 3 other questions at the end of the chapter. Pay close attention to the sections of the chapter pertaining to MIDI, especially General MIDI
  2. No class next Tuesday (Monday classes next Tuesday), so take some time to look over some of the links on the class home page (especially the MIDI section of the Desktop Music Handbook)
  3. AND, if you haven't done the following already, catch-up on the previous class assignments:
    1. E-mail me 5 things you would like to learn in this class,
    2. E-mail me your answers for 3 questions from the end of Chapter 1. Choose from the first 7 questions only

  2. Prepare and e-mail me a lesson plan where you use a notation program such as Finale. In the lesson, you can either use the notation program for demonstration purposes or have the students themselves use the program in a composition or theory exercise. (Look through Chapter 7 in the textboook and/or the Technology Strategies for Music Education book for some ideas.)
