Textbook: "Complex Analysis: A First Course with Applications" by Zill and Shanahan (Jones & Bartlett, 3rd edition, ISBN: 1449694616) is required.

Grading Scheme:
Weekly Quizzes 60%
Homework Completion 15%
Final Exam   25%

Quizzes: There will be a short quiz every week. These will cover the homework due that day, and they will be graded for correctntess. The lowest 2 quiz scores will be dropped.

Homework: Homework will be assigned each class and will be checked for completeness at the beginning of next week's class. The lowest 2 homework scores will be dropped.

Final Exam: The Final Exam will be cumulative, and it will take place Monday, December 15 during the usual class time.

Description from Catalog: This course covers the algebra and geometry of complex numbers, analytic functions, Taylor and Laurent series, Cauchy integral theory and applications, residue calculus. Prerequisite of MTH 631 or permission of Dept is required. 3 credits.
