Grading

Grading will be based on your written work and class participation, not on comparison to other students. There is no competition for a limited number of As in this class.  At the end of the semester, we will calculate your numerical average and use the following scale:

93-100 = A 78-79 = C+
90-92 = A- 73-77 = C
88-89 = B+ 70-72 = C-
83-87 = B 60-69 = D
80-82 = B- <60 = F
