To have your clip start smoothly especially if it starts with a click, we'll apply a Fade In Effect to the beginning. Select a very small portion of the beginning (a tenth to a quarter second is sufficient) and Choose Fade In from the Effects menu. (Again, use the time ruler to determine how much to select.)
