“Hay’s database” and “Akama’s database”:
The databases of Rod Hay and Michio Akama, mentioned extensively in this
online guide, are treasure troves for students of the History of Economic
Thought. They contain biographical sketches, photographs and other material
on most, if not all, of the people we will be discussing in this course.
In some cases, links to online editions of their writings are also given.
See also the links listed here.
Note, however, that all this online information is meant only to supplement
and not to replace the information in the textbooks
and reference text mentioned in the
course outline. Moreover, I have not personally
gone through all the material that this site provides links to. So, be
careful!
The references to Palgrave in this
online guide are to this course's reference
text, The New Palgrave: a dictionary of economics.
