To have your clip end smoothly especially if it ends with a click, we'll apply a Fade-Out Effect to the ending. This way the clip ends with silence. Select a small portion of the ending (a quarter to or a half second is fine) and Choose Fade Out from the Effects menu. (Use the time ruler to determine how much to select.)
