  • What we're planning for the week:

    1. Review of the semester's work and in-class work on Final Projects and other assignements.
    2. Some quick demonstrations pertaining to projects

If there's any confusion on what to submit for your projects, read the following - taken right from the project instructions

    1. Mastering Exercise: Bounce the project to a 160kbps MP3 file. Email the bounced audio to the assignment address. Include the following in your email message: Why you picked the record you used for the exercise. How did you want to change it? A list of the effects you used and how you set each effect. If you used a channel strip preset list the one you used and what you changed.
    2. Mixing Project: How you submit your finished project will be discussed in class.
    3. Equalization Project: Compress the project file and send the zip file to the assignment address
    4. Noise Gate Project: Bounce the project to disk as an MP3 file at 160kbps quality. Email the MP3 file to the assignment address
    5. Routing Exercise: Once your mix is completed, bounce it to a 160kbps MP3 file and send the file to the assignment address
    6. Final Project A: To be determinced based on what you do for the proect
    7. Final Project B: In most cases you will have to submit/share the compressed (zip) version of your project file then share it with JM due to file size. See Note below

Note: To compress a project file... after saving your project, go into your folder and compress the project file (e.g., the logicx file) into a zip file.

Note: Most mix projects will likely have to be compressed, uploaded to your Google Drive, then shared with JM via the assignments email address.
